Powering the future of hydrogen

Hydrogen is reshaping the global energy landscape and is central to achieving a net-zero future. Hydrogen operations place exceptional demands on power conversion, controls, and cooling, where stability and material integrity are critical to performance.

With over 40 years of experience in wind energy, KK Group brings proven electromechanical and thermal management expertise to the hydrogen sector. Both industries require high-power handling, advanced energy conversion technologies, efficient cooling to ensure stable operation under all conditions.

By adapting proven products and know-how from wind, we help electrolyser OEMs and project developers reduce time-to-market and lower development costs typically associated with new technologies.

Power solutions for the hydrogen industry

Leveraging decades of power conversion expertise, our end-to-end Power Supply Units and rectifiers deliver reliable power to efficiently drive the electrolysis process.

Cooling solutions for the hydrogen industry

Designed for durability and high performance, our cooling solutions handle thermal loads with higher reliability, ensuring maximum uptime for hydrogen production.

Electrolyzer cooling

Our cooling solutions manage high thermal loads for stable electrolyzer plant operation.

Liquid-to-air cooling

Compact, cost-effective liquid-to-air cooling for power supply units under tight space and thermal constraints.

Liquid-to-liquid cooling

Our liquid-to-liquid systems transfer heat from power supply units to a secondary medium for reuse or central cooling.

Proven expertise in grid compliance

Grid compliance remains a critical success factor for hydrogen plants.

Leveraging decades of experience from the wind sector, KK Group plays a key role in ensuring plants meet stringent grid requirements.

Our PSUs build on technologies such as smart inverters and advanced control systems - adapted from wind turbines to hydrogen applications - while our integrated cooling systems maintain optimal performance under varying grid and operational conditions.

By embedding grid compliance and thermal stability early in the project lifecycle, we help developers reduce risk, avoid costly redesigns, and accelerate deployment.

A global supply chain you can rely on

The competitiveness of green hydrogen depends on efficient, large-scale manufacturing and secure component supply.

As the largest converter manufacturer in the wind industry — and now a full-line supplier of both power and cooling solutions — KK Group leverages its global footprint, scale and technology to drive down cost and complexity.

Our resilient global supply chain combines advanced power and cooling technologies with worldwide reach, enabling us to deliver reliable, end-to-end solutions for electrolysers that meet the dynamic demands of the green hydrogen market.

Case story:

Powering Sunfire's 100 MW electrolyzer system

KK Group will supply customised Power Supply Units for Sunfire’s 100 MW electrolysis plant, part of one of Europe’s largest green hydrogen projects in Germany.

Sunfire selected KK Group for their ability to deliver tailored PSUs that convert electricity from the grid into stable, efficient power for the electrolyzers, meeting specific grid and plant requirements.

With production already underway, including testing and quality verification, this partnership sets the stage for future large-scale green hydrogen projects.
